Hemorrhoid symptoms are very obvious to most people. There are people, however, who experience no to very little symptoms at all. These people can be confused as to why they are experiencing discomfort, as they are confusing what type of Hemorrhoid symptoms to expect. So many of the early signs of hemorrhoids can be some other type of issue, knowing what to expect is half the battle when you are trying to figure out how to treat the problem. You could not be one of the many who have the very worst symptoms with your outbreak. This does not mean you will not need relief though. External Or InternalOne of the most commonly asked questions about hemorrhoids revolve around what type, internal or external. Hemorrhoid symptoms can vary depending on the type. While internal hemorrhoids are on the inside of the rectal cavity and external are on the outside of the rectal cavity, knowing for sure can still be confusing. Internal hemorrhoids can actually go unnoticed if you are not having a severe crop up. You may feel some itching or minor burning intermittently, but nothing more. External hemorrhoids tend to be much more painful as the swelling is not contained and easily aggravated. If you can feel the hemorrhoidal tissue without rectal penetration and the symptoms are painful, it is safe to say you most likely have external hemorrhoid issues. What Causes Severe Itching One of the most common and annoying hemorrhoid symptoms is severe itching. This can not only drive you crazy, but can keep you from living daily life. Constantly having to scratch your rectal area can be highly embarrassing and is the one symptom that you want to rid yourself of fast. There are several reasons that can contribute to anal itching. One is improper hygiene. Not washing your perineal area well enough can leave irritants that cause you to itch. If you know this is not the problem you may have hemorrhoids. Leaking veins create mucus that can acerbate the itching as well as stretching skin from the inflammation. Relieving the veins of the pressure and inflammation using a topical ointment or suppository will stop the itching if it is hemorrhoid related. The Burn If your rectal area is burning you can tell if it is a hemorrhoid symptom or not. The most common cause of rectal burning is diarrhea. If you have not had this problem, then you can easily deduce that it is most likely hemorrhoids. Burning is caused by the inflammation of the tissue. As it expands, it stretches more than it should causing rips in the tissues. These rips are now exposed to the entire perineal area, which is moist and warm. It adds irritants that cause you to experience the burning factor. The best way to relieve this is to use hemorrhoid pads, creams, or suppositories to reduce swelling and coat and protect the area. Make sure that you use the right product as most creams are only for external use only. Some people find suppositories relieve both internal and external burning long term. While cooling creams and gels offer the best relief instantly. Read more hemorrhoids related articles here
