Internal Hemorrhoid Types
Internal Hemorrhoid Types Advice
While it can be obvious as to the type of hemorrhoids you have, internal hemorrhoids types can
be more difficult to diagnose. There are different degrees of internal hemorrhoids and each has its own set of
issues that can be used to pinpoint diagnosis.
If you are trying to figure out what type of hemorrhoids you have and what to do about them, you
will want to learn about degrees of internal hemorrhoids and then make the right choice.
The First Degree Hemorrhoid
Out of the internal hemorrhoid types, the first degree
is the most common. It is also the most unnoticed. This is because very small internal hemorrhoids are self
contained and usually pose absolutely no problem at all. In fact, most people do not even know that they have them
at all. The most common symptom is slight rectal bleeding upon bowel movements.
This is usually the only symptom as it is external piles that cause people the worst pain.
Treatment is very simple. You will be advised to eat a high fiber, low fat diet and drink plenty of water. You can
also add a stool softener to your regime so that you can avoid straining while defecating. Very rarely will you
need to employ any home or over the counter remedies when you have this type of hemorrhoid issue.
The Second Degree Hemorrhoid
When it comes to internal hemorrhoid types, it is the second degree
type you will recognize some of the classic symptoms right away with. This is when the actual piles protrude from
the rectum when you strain or push. This could be during a bowel movement or when lifting heavy objects. This
hemorrhoid type does go back into the rectum as soon as the action is complete. It does so all on its own with no
need of manual help.
You will find that you will experience the classic itching and burning as the piles protrude
from the anus. This is completely normal. You may not have any pain, only minor discomfort. The best way to treat
the hemorrhoid problem at this stage is to use a suppository. This will shrink the hemorrhoid tissue within and is
the standard treatment for internal hemorrhoids. It will also relieve the itching and burning as well.
The Third Degree Hemorrhoid
Out of the mild form of internal hemorrhoid types, the third degree piles are the worst. This
type of hemorrhoid issue is the kind where the piles protrude from the anus but will not go back inside on their
own. When you have third degree hemorrhoids you will find that your pain is much like that of those who suffer from
external piles. This is because the piles are now large enough to protrude from the anus when you strain at
all.
To get them back in you will need to put them back using your finger. Due to their size they are
more likely to leak mucus which is what causes many of the external symptoms of itching and burning. For internal
pain control and swelling you can use suppositories, while external symptoms are relieved using creams and
gels.
