Treating Hemorrhoids
Various Treatments For A Quick Hemorrhoids Cure
Treating hemorrhoids is something that has become a tricky affair today, as there are more and
more ways of being told how to do things. Which way is actually right? Well it basically boils down to what you
need and how serious the case is.
If you have a mild case of hemorrhoids, you will most likely be able to get away with a simple
sitz bath and possibly an icepack or two. This will help rid the itching and burning of the hemorrhoids, yet you
are still going to want to be sure that you apply a topical cream.
Witch Hazel
Something that has been used for years for treating
hemorrhoids is witch hazel. This is something that is more homeopathic in nature, and can be found at most
herbal and or natural food stores. This treatment is great because the witch hazel has a cooling property, and it
will help stop the itching associated with hemorrhoids.
One of the most common methods of using witch hazel for the treating of hemorrhoids is to put a
dab on the end of a cotton ball or q-tip and gently apply to the affected area. This will just about immediately
help the issue while it sooths and cools the hemorrhoids. This treatment is actually relatively inexpensive, and
you will quickly see that this is something that you could actually benefit from. There are great properties found
in witch hazel, and you may find that you want this around for your entire family.
Sitz Bath
Another great way of treating hemorrhoids is to use sitz bathing. This is where you will use two
to three inches of hot water in combination with either witch hazel or Epsom salts. This is something that you
should do on a regular basis, and you could do this instead of wiping to clean this area if the wiping will damage
the hemorrhoids further.
You should ideally sit in a sitz bath no more than 20 minutes at a time, but you can take as
many as you would like. This would be best if you gave the area 30 minutes or so to settle from the first bath,
before you run another. This is something that has the potential to heal you up quite well after a bout with
hemorrhoids. You will find that it can be quite soothing, and you will not be in as much discomfort as a result of
the baths.
Common Practice
Treating hemorrhoids is something that is actually common practice today. There are more and
more people actually seeing that this is a real problem, and this does not necessarily happen due to poor hygiene.
Someone could be very clean in that region, and they could still see that they will get hemorrhoids. There are many
ways to ensure that you do not get hemorrhoids, but this does not mean that it will absolutely not happen. Looking
after yourself in essence will only ensure that you stave off infection or other complications as a result of the
hemorrhoids.
